Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why doesn't the "AirPlay" or "Cast" button appear? Ensure that the screen or streaming device supports the technology compatible with your device:
-
On "Android" devices, use a screen or device that supports "Cast" or "Chromecast".
-
On "iPhone" and "iPad" devices, use an "Apple TV" or a screen that supports "AirPlay".
Ensure the device and the screen are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, then reopen the app and play the content.
2. The "AirPlay" or "Cast" button appears, but the TV does not show up in the list of devices. What should I do? Ensure that the mobile and the TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and that "AirPlay" or "Cast" is enabled on the TV. If the TV still does not appear, install the "Thmanyah" app on the TV and log in via QR code or manual code from: "My Account → Linked Devices → Add Device".
3. Does the display work on the smart screen using mobile data? No. The mobile and the screen must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
4. Can everything shown in the app be mirrored on the smart screen? Screen mirroring is limited to the stream or video being played only.
5. The content works on the mobile but not on the screen? Try again or play the content again and then choose the screen. If the problem persists, contact us at "Ask Thmanyah".
6. Why is there a delay in sound or picture on the screen? A slight delay may occur due to network connection or screen performance. Ensure the strength of the Wi-Fi connection, or move the mobile closer to the router, then restart the content.
7. Does screen mirroring with a "USB-C to HDMI" cable work automatically? If you consider mirroring the screen from an iPad or laptop to a larger smart screen using a "USB-C to HDMI" cable, it will likely succeed if the "USB-C" port on your device supports video output, and the screen and adapter support playing protected video "HDCP", otherwise, the picture may not appear, the sound may play without picture, or a black screen may appear.
8. Can matches be displayed from the iPhone to the TV using a "USB-C to HDMI" cable? Yes. All iPhone 15, iPhone 16, and iPhone 17 models equipped with a USB-C port support video output to an external screen, except for iPhone 16e and iPhone 17e. A compatible USB-C to HDMI cable or adapter can be used. Some live matches may not work in certain cases due to "DRM" and "HDCP" content protection requirements, and a black screen may appear or the sound may play without picture. When this occurs, use "AirPlay" or "Cast", or watch through the "Thmanyah" app on the TV.
9. What should I do if the picture freezes after connecting the mobile to the screen via "AirPlay" or "Cast"? Sometimes the picture may freeze due to a temporary fluctuation in the connection or the system needing to refresh the session. To solve this issue, you can follow these steps to restart the display session:
-
End the current session: Close the streaming window or press the disconnect button on the Cast from the app to completely end the session.
-
Restart the display: Wait a few seconds, then press the Cast button again or scan the QR code again to create a new display session.
